riso poster typography animation illustration Impressionisms is an graphical notation typography project. Graphic notation is the representation of music through the use of visual symbols outside the realm of traditional music notation. Inspired by Nocturnes no 7 by Poulenc, Miroirs Une Barque Sur L’Ocean by Ravel, and Pagodes Estampes by Debusssy. I turned what I was hearing into abstracted graphical notation animations. I made the frames into posters and RISO printed those, rescanning them to create animations.
